February 2020, "Community Choice" Project of the Month

For our February "Community Choice" Project of the Month, the community elected ExpressLuke GSI, source built GSIs based on phhusson's great work.

ExpressLuke GSI offers both Android Pie and Android 10 unofficial GSIs, which includes the likes of Pixel Experience, Resurrection Remix and Havoc OS for all users no matter what architecture or partition layout is being used.

We caught up with creator and developer Luke Williams as he shared some thoughts about the project's history, purpose, and direction.

Today in Tech

On this day in 1999 the famous lingerie brand Victoria's Secret held their very first online fashion show, which became the world's first major webcast. The show attracted an estimated 1.5 million viewers from 90 countries around the world, and there could have been more had the technology of the time been able to keep up. Days earlier the company had released an ad spot on the Super Bowl and within minutes, a million people had already logged on to the site, causing it to crash. Because of the sheer amount of viewers and limited server space, many were denied access to the online show.
